We're Retiring, After 35 Years

In 1989, we opened a small storefront on Madison Avenue with a simple idea: clothing should be made well, fit properly, and last.

What started as a modest shop, one of us a tailor, the other a buyer with an eye for timeless style, became a neighborhood fixture, known for quality fabrics, honest pricing, and personal service that turned customers into family.

Now, after 35 years, we're closing our doors and stepping into retirement. Everything remaining in our store, every last piece, must go. Once it's gone, it's gone for good.

“Feels more expensive than it was”

Picked up two dress shirts for work and honestly the fabric quality surprised me, feels more expensive than what I paid. Fit is true to size, didn't need to size up or down. Only thing is I wish they had a few more color options, but overall really happy.

— Susan L., Denver, CO

“Genuine leather!”

Ordered the leather jacket not really knowing what to expect from, but honestly I was impressed. You can tell right away it's real leather, not that stiff synthetic stuff. Fits great too. It showed up in like 3 days which I wasn't expecting at all. Thank you!!

— James T., Columbus, OH

“They made it right, fast”

So the first dress I got didn't fit right in the waist, kind of annoying since I was excited to wear it that weekend. But their support team handled it really well by sending a new one in my size and I had it within 4 days. No extra charge or hassle. The dress itself is stunning once it actually fit

— Sarah H., Rochester, NY

“Happy with the gift for my mom”

Bought a bag and a pair of orthopedic shoes for my mom and everything showed up in perfect condition, well packaged and on time. The shoes are surprisingly stylish for how comfortable they are and the bag is even nicer in person than in the photos. I could see on the eyes of my mom that she is happy

— Carol S., Tampa, FL

“Better fit than I expected”

Ordered a button down not really sure how the sizing would run but it fit exactly like the size chart said it would. Fabric is a bit heavier than I expected too, in a good way, doesn't feel thin or cheap

— Eric H., Cleveland, OH

“The unboxing was half the joy”

The coat itself is beautiful warm without being bulky and true to size. But honestly the unboxing was half the experience. The tissue paper, a little card, everything felt intentional. Made getting a package in the mail feel special again which doesn't happen often anymore

— Nancy R., Springfield, MO

“Slow start but great finish”

Ordered a sweater and it took a couple extra days to ship out, a little longer than I expected. Reached out to ask about it and got a quick real response, not some automated runaround. Sweater arrived a few days later and honestly it's great quality so I'm not too upset about the wait.

— Kevin M., Nashville, TN

“My new lucky blazer”

Bought a blazer for a job interview and honestly it fit perfectly right out of the box. It didn't need any adjustments. The fabric looks and feels sharp. Got the job too, so I guess I'll call it my lucky blazer now.

— Barbara J., Portland, ME

“Consistent quality, twice now”

This is my second order from them now, first time I got a pair of boots and now I just got the flats too. Both times shipping was quick and both times the quality held up to what I expected from the price. Sizing runs true for me, which I always appreciate since I hate guessing with online shoe shopping.
